Beckingham Footpath 10

From Trent Port Public House by the bridge follow the path alongside the river in a northerly direction (footpath 1A). By Dog Island (small wood to your left) the footpath becomes footpath 10 and continues along the tarmac path by the river all the way to The Old Shipyard. Once at the shipyard the path is lost a little by the warehouses and storeyards but continues again the other side via a grassy path along the bankside. Follow the path for about the same distance as you have already travelled to the point at which the river pulls away at Morton Point. This is the point at which footpath 10 ceases at the parish boundary and becomes Walkeringham footpath 1. An alternative return is to continue to the Pumping Station and follow the double track path which runs alongside the Beckingham Main Drain, parallel to the riverbank and takes you back to the shipyard where you are able to meet up again with footpath 10.
