The Friendship Group meets every fortnight, with speakers, outings, a game of bingo and many other activities, plus a good chat over a cup of tea and biscuits. Anyone wishing to join the Group will be made most welcome. Members pay £1 to include refreshments and a raffle ticket (donations of small prizes are always welcome). There is usually a bookstall and a stall with other items for sale.
Each year the Group raises funds for a different charity. In 2007 over £1,000 was raised for Village First Responders and Alzheimer’s Society. The chosen charities for 2008 are Lupus and R.N.L.I. For more information please contact Kath (Chairperson) on 848062 or Hazel (Secretary) on 848053.
