Diary and Events for 2010
Welcome to the Diary of Beckingham cum Saundby for 2010. The Diary will show regular activities and meetings as well as some events of possible interest to the community. Some of the entries may be highlighted and when clicked on will show more detailed information and images of those events or items. Future Events: -
Nottinghamshire Historic Trust Ride & Stride takes place on Saturday 11th September between 10am and 6pm. All St Church will be open during the day. If anyone would like to participate sponsor forms are available along with a list of Churches/Chapels which are open on the day. Contact Diana 848759.
Short Mat Bowls will recommence from Wednesday 15th September 7-9pm in the Village Hall at £2 per session. To be held every Wednesday except first in each month. No experience necessary woods can be provided flat shoes or stocking feet. Contact Joan 848294 or Nev 848207 for more information.

There will be a variety of stalls and fantastic prizes, including M&S vouchers, vacuum cleaner, Co-op vouchers, meat vouchers and much more. Refreshments will also be available. Mobile Rural Contact Point the village is at risk of losing this valuable service if it is not used by more people. The date and time has been changed to entice those attending the Monday Coffee Morning as well as others. The service provides help and advice on all Council services and Police matters and there is a private room for anyone who wishes to speak in confidence. There is also wheelchair access. You will find it on The Green on 20th September from 10 to 11.30am. It is available to everyone so why not call in to see what it is all about or even just to say hello and be nosey!
Harvest Supper will be held in the Village Hall on Monday 4th October at 7pm. Tickets are £4 and will be available shortly from Judith or Diana. Harvest Baskets will be made up for the elderly and housebound within the village, please let Muriel have any donations for these in good time for the Harvest Festival on Sunday 3rd October.

History Group Open Day will be held on Saturday 9th October from 11am to 3.30pm in the Recreation Room. There will be various displays with this years theme of Water, Wind and Willow, along with a slide show, research corner and a display by the ever popular Rodney Cousins. Refreshments will also be available. All are welcome.
