All St. Church
A Garage Sale was held in aid of the Church Building Fund on Saturday 19th April 2008 at the home of Rex and Jean Madin with their kind permission.
Many articles had been collected and donated for several weeks previously and stored until the day.
There was a wide variety of items, including large and small ornaments, books, toys, games and bicycles, pieces of furniture, bric a brac and much more besides.
There was even a bathroom sink with pedestal and a treadmill! All were laid out, some on tables in the drive and in the garage. Refreshments were available throughout the day, which on such a bitterly cold day were much appreciated by all. The event was quite well attended with over £700 being raised for the Church Fund. Grateful thanks are extended to Rex and Jean, all those involved in the organising and to all who came along braving the cold weather supporting the event.
